Evaluations to Find the Root Cause
At your first visit, I get to the bottom of why you and your baby are experiencing feeding challenges.
I will begin by listening to your story, reviewing pregnancy, birth, and feeding history, and hearing your concerns. Then I will observe you feeding your baby to understand how their body moves, how their mouth and tongue function, and what feeding looks like in real time.
Our goal is to piece it all together so we know what’s really getting in the way of successful feeding. Once we understand the root cause, we’ll create a plan that fits your goals.
During the entire visit, I will be explaining what I am seeing and what my thoughts are so you never feel confused or lost.
An Approach that is Guided by Your Goals and Needs
No two babies — or families — are the same. That’s why I take the time to understand what matters most to you before creating a plan. Whether your goal is smoother bottle feeds, pain-free breastfeeding, or simply less stress at mealtimes, we’ll get there together.
Every session is hands-on and practical. I’ll show you small, doable changes you can use right away and explain why they matter. You’ll always leave with a clear next step and the confidence that you’re making progress.
Together, we’ll make feeding easier so you can stop worrying and start enjoying more of these early days with your baby.
Feeding Support ~ for Bottle Feeding & Breastfeeding
You decide how to feed your baby, and my job is to provide the support you need.
Feeding your baby shouldn’t feel confusing or overwhelming. After your evaluation, we’ll work together step by step to make feeding easier and more comfortable.
During each feeding therapy session, you will learn one or two simple strategies with tools to practice at home. This keeps progress steady without becoming overwhelming or adding stress to your full days.
You will leave each visit knowing exactly what to do, feeling supported, and celebrating each win as your baby’s feeding improves.

Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie Treatment for Babies
Many parents arrive with questions about tongue or lip ties and what they mean for feeding. If you’ve heard conflicting advice or felt brushed off in the past, you’re not alone. I am here to help you understand what’s really going on with your baby’s feeding, explain things in plain language, and guide you every step of the way.
Before a release/frenectomy, I focus on helping your baby address compensations, optimize function, and come up with a feeding plan so the procedure (if it’s needed) is smoother and more effective.
After a release/frenectomy, I help your baby with wound care, retraining the muscles for effective feeding, and address continued compensatory patterns so skills continue to improve instead of stalling or getting harder.
Your plan is always tailored to your family’s goals, whether that means exclusive breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or a combination of both.
-
Not always. Many babies benefit from therapy first. If a release is recommended, I’ll explain why and help you decide on timing that feels right.
-
No. Some babies improve with therapy alone. My job is to look at the whole picture, explain what I see, and guide you toward the option that feels best for your family.
-
No, because a release gives the tongue more movement, but it doesn’t automatically teach a baby how to use those new skills.
Post-release therapy helps your baby organize sucking, swallowing, and breathing, so feeding improves instead of becoming more disorganized.
-
Yes. I collaborate with your dentist or ENT to ensure care is connected and your baby has the best outcome.
Infant Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on way to release tension in your baby’s body so the nervous system can work better. I use a very light touch to address fascial tightness that can show up as feeding challenges, gas or reflux, trouble settling, or a strong preference to turn one way. Many families notice improvements in feeding, sleep, and overall comfort.
I often weave craniosacral therapy into feeding therapy. Before a tongue-tie release, craniosacral therapy can help prepare the nervous system and soft tissues allowing the procedure and recovery to be easier. After a release, it can support healing and help organize suck, swallow, and breathe.
-
Infants with latch challenges, pre or post tongue-tie release, colic or reflux, constipation, body tension, difficulty turning, or sleep struggles.
-
Your session will take place in a calm room. Your baby stays clothed and may be in your arms, on a mat, or on a table. I follow your baby’s cues and keep you involved.
We pause for feeds, diaper changes, or cuddles as needed. The work is slow, soothing, and tailored to your goals.
-
Craniosacral therapy helps by easing tension so babies can find more comfortable positions, move their jaw and tongue more freely, and coordinate suck–swallow–breathe with less effort. The result is often shorter, calmer feeds and a more relaxed parent.
